The workshop will focus on techniques for improving soil quality, fostering biodiversity, and enhancing agricultural productivity to empower farmers with knowledge and tools to cultivate healthier soils for long-term environmental and agricultural benefits.

Urban Gardening

Join us on Thursday, August 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Seeds of Hope Community Garden, 1604 Butler Ferry Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817, for an engaging, hands-on workshop focused on implementing NRCS conservation practices: Conservation Cover (327), Soil Health (590), and Irrigation Water Management (449). Participants will learn practical strategies through live demonstrations on preparing raised bed soil mix, managing pH levels, setting up rainwater barrels, applying mulching techniques, and installing drip irrigation systems. This interactive session will provide valuable knowledge for gardeners, farmers, and community members interested in improving soil health, conserving water, and enhancing crop production.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or new to farming, learn and contribute to our efforts in cultivating a chestnut orchard. It's a beautiful opportunity to connect with nature, gain practical skills, and be part of our sustainable agriculture journey.
